For visitors/non-County employees
As the event host, as a courtesy HR will issue you a free parking pass valid at the 1st floor of the Visitor/Jury Parking garage at 440 Middlefield Rd.
If the first floor is full when you arrive, you can drive up and park at the:
- 3rd floor
- Ramp up to the 4th floor
- Ramp up to the 5th floor
- 5th floor
Do not park on the 2nd floor or 4th floors. Our parking pass is not valid here and you are subject to citation.
Should spaces at the above options be full, see here a flyer from City of Redwood City on downtown parking options. You can also view their downtown parking website for more information.
Carpooling is encouraged, and a reminder we are only a 3-block walk from the Caltrain!
For County employees who do not work at County Center, Redwood City
Do not park in the visitor garage, rather, park at the employee garage at 400 Middlefield Rd.
Gates are up (open access) before 9am. If you arrive after 9am, you will need to badge in at the gate.
You’ll need to obtain a Yellow Day Use placard from your department in advance. Each Department has a limited number of these placards and they are given to employees when visiting the County Center campus. Check with your Payroll Clerk to learn who distributes these placards. These temporary placards must be returned to your placard coordinator post-event. If you do not have a Yellow Day Use placard and park in the employee garage, you are subject to citation as all vehicles parked here need proper County employee credentials.
HSA Employees: Your purple parking pass is acceptable in this garage.
Health Employees: All County issued placards (SMMC, blue, green, day use, etc) are acceptable in this garage.
Please be mindful of designated parking spaces, such as Electric Vehicle or Carpool spaces. These require specific parking passes. Parking in these reserved spots without the appropriate pass will result in a citation.
Carpooling is encouraged, and a reminder we are only a 3-block walk from the Caltrain!
