Melissa Sheehan is an IT Operations Manager for the San Mateo County Health Department responsible for supporting, managing and maintaining Health departmental applications.
Melissa started her county career as the Customer Support Manager for ISD providing her with the opportunity to become familiar with many of the County departments. Prior to that she worked in the private sector for 20+ years in various IT management positions with extensive experience bringing together staff from other companies and organizations to form high performing and efficient teams. She has a collaborative management style and is passionate about empowering staff to reach their full potential. The opportunity to become an internal coach for the county was a great way for her to share her experience and passion for assisting staff achieve their goals.
On a personal note she loves the outdoors, is an avid gardener, and enjoys activities that support the environment and her community.
