Make a difference with San Mateo County Parks Volunteer Stewardship! Volunteers and park staff work together at different locations each week to restore native habitat and beautify our San Mateo County Parks. Experience the outdoors in a whole new light while lending a hand with invasive plant removal, planting native vegetation, and seed collection.
No experience necessary; we provide training, tools, and sanitizing supplies. Registration helps us plan for the proper amount of tools and other supplies. Please Register on Eventbrite! so you can receive any last minute project changes. Feel free to cancel if your plans change.
Please wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing you don't mind getting dirty for your protection and comfort. We also recommend that you bring water, sunscreen, snacks, hats, and layers. If weather conditions are deemed too extreme, any of these events may be canceled. Our volunteer stewardship events fulfill community service requirements; please bring relevant paperwork to the event for a staff member to verify. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be registered by a parent or guardian. Youth under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
